Nobody asks where is Wallachia. Then what's the meaning of this page? You are here, aren't you? Because you are curious. And there are always curios people.
So! As you can see on the map, on this site Wallachia is the southern part of Romania between the Carpathians and the Danube River, marked with different shades of yellow.

The name of Wallachia comes from "vlah", a Slav origin word used for all Latin people of the Balkans. Transylvanians were called Hungro-Wallachians and Moldavian people were named Moldo-Wallachians.
The name used by Romanians for Wallachia is "The Romanian Land".
- Oltenia-Dolj, Gorj, Mehedinti and Valcea counties on the west side of Olt River
- Muntenia-Arges, Braila, Buzau, Calarasi, Dambovita, Giurgiu, Ilfov, Prahova and Teleorman counties, between Olt and Danube Rivers
